Fiber 2022 Build Map
The RURALBAND 2022 Fiber Build Map below provides a detailed view of the zones where our fiber broadband service is currently available in Surry, Sussex, and Prince George counties. It also outlines the fiber broadband network construction currently taking place and planned for 2022 in Dinwiddie, Surry, and Sussex counties.
If you live in any of the areas shown, sign up or pre-register now for service at https://join.ruralband.coop.
We understand the importance of fiber internet and are working as quickly and efficiently as possible to reach 100% of our electric members as well as some nearby communities with world-class fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband.

What do the "zones" on this map mean?
RURALBAND's fiber build primarily follows our PGEC electric footprint. As a result, the network build project is divided into zones that correspond to that footprint. Each zone represents a specific area for the build. Your neighborhood's zone identifies that status of the build and thus fiber availability for you.
What if I'm not in one of the zones? When will you be in my area?
Throughout 2022, we will continue to open zones as the network expands. If you are not currently in an open zone, we encourage you to visit https://join.ruralband.coop to pre-register and continue following our progress on Facebook to check our build status. Crews are working continually, and we are committed to moving as quickly as possible to build out to all members and those in certain adjacent communities.
