RURALBAND is now accepting applications for the following areas: Gray Road, Grigg Road, Owen Road, Henry Road, Harrell Road, Mason Road, Lebanon Church Road, Proctor Road, Grizzard Road, Blue Star Highway, and all locations in the Town of Jarratt that are in Sussex County (excluding Greensville County).

Affordable Connectivity Program funding set to wind down
In 2021, Congress established the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and appropriated $14.2 billion for the program. Without additional funding from Congress, the allotted money for the program is projected to run out in April 2024 (this date is an estimate and may change). As a result, the FCC has begun taking steps to wind down the Affordable Connectivity Program.

RURALBAND offering applicants $75 credit on first month’s bill for limited time
For the first time ever, residents who complete an application for RURALBAND in a zone where the service is currently available will receive a $75 credit on their first month’s internet bill. The offer is valid for any residents of the open zone areas who complete the application by Jan. 31, 2024.
